Importance of the Popular Vote...

2000 Presidential Election: Al Gore declared all votes must be counted, that the majority should be assured their dictate via power of the vote.

2004 Presidential Election: John Kerry declared all votes must be counted, that the majority should be assured their dictate via power of the vote.

2005: Members of the Democratic Party are no longer an elected majority.  Where do they stand regarding all votes must be counted, that the majority should be assured their dictate via power of the vote?

Judicial nominations and the Filibuster...

The Democratic Party unanimously declares a minority should be able to prevent the majority from exercising the power of elected positions; that a minority must be allowed to nullify such power via the filibuster; that the majority does not have the right to dictate to a minority via power of the popular vote.

The Democratic Party motto has changed from "Every vote must be counted" to: "If we can stop the majority from voting, we can still rule."
